As a caregiver, what do I feel is the most important thing I could do to influence and assist a child's development?
I will set a good model for the children to follow. I will teach the children what is right and what is wrong. I will make every daily life an example to teach the children to learn from it.
What made me choose child-care as a career?
I love children and I feel happy when I see the kids growing up gradually with changes. Children are sweet and innocent and simple and I like to have a simple working condition. I like to be with children and I know child-care is a good market and I can have a stable job if I am experienced in taking care of kids.
How would I deal with a child who did not listen to me. What would I do to ensure the one I'm taking care of would listen to me ?
I will tell a story or give the child a small gift in order to draw his/her attention so that the child might listen to me. I will try to find out what makes the child not listen to me. If the child is in a bad mood, then I will leave the child alone for a while and let the child cool down and talk to the child afterward. I need to build up a good relationship and trust at time when I started to take care of the child. So when the child not listen to me, I still can talk to the child and try to find out what is the problem why the child not listen to me.
If I and my employer had a different opinion regarding any duty, how would I deal with it?
I will try to discuss with my employer and clarify if the duties are under the employment regulation, If yes, I will follow. If the opinion of my employer will not do any harm to me, I will accept. I will follow the instructions of my employer.
What do I think my employer will expect from me?
I think my employer will expect me to perform my duties in a right time. I think my employer might expect me to be honest & hardworking. I think my employer might expect me to love her kids as mine and perform all my duties.
What do I expect from my employer? ( Not material items )
I expect my employer can understand me and treat me as her family member. I expect my employer will tell me and teach me when I have done something wrong. I expect my employer will treat me as one of her family member.
